Notary Services

The Library offers free notary services to the public. Public notaries are on site during most of the library’s open hours, and no appointment is needed, but those needing a notary may call 262-249-5299 before arriving at the library to ensure a notary is present and available. The library reserves the right to decline to notarize any documents that are out of scope for the library notaries. The library retains digital copies of notarized documents and photo IDs for a period of seven years.

Valid photo ID for all signers is required. Do not sign your document beforehand; it must be signed in the presence of the Notary Public.

While we don't charge for our notary services, a donation to our Friends of the Library is always appreciated and is one way you can give back to your community!

La biblioteca ofrece servicios notariales gratuitos al público. Hay notarios disponibles durante la mayor parte del horario de atención de la biblioteca y no se requiere cita previa; sin embargo, quienes necesiten este servicio pueden llamar al 262-249-5299 antes de acudir a la biblioteca para asegurarse de que haya un notario presente y disponible. La biblioteca se reserva el derecho de rechazar la certificación notarial de documentos que queden fuera del ámbito de competencia de sus notarios. La biblioteca conserva copias digitales de los documentos certificados y de las identificaciones con fotografía durante un periodo de siete años.
